Harvest is in full-swing and I’m once again inspired to eat as much as I can from my own backyard. As I’m sure you are too! But why not take it a step further this season? Why not challenge ourselves to consume only local vegetables, fruit, grains, protein, drinks, snacks, condiments…the list goes on. Are you in? I hope so! Because this is the official kick-off to ‘The From Soil to Soul 7 Day Eat “Everything” Local Challenge.’ Keep reading for the rules and a link to my free food tracker printout to help keep track of what you’re eating. Plus submit your completed food tracker at the end for a chance to win 1 of 2 $100 gift cards to The Farmer’s Kitchen Grocery Store. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

Welcome To ‘The 7 Day Eat “Everything” Local Challenge’

In the wake of the new “Product of Canada” labels now found on grocery store food items, most of us have found ourselves thinking differently about what goes in our cart.

And while the “trade war” has created devastating challenges for many businesses, it’s also inspired consumers to shop local more than ever.

‘The 7 Day Eat “Everything” Local Challenge’ is another way to encourage Canadians to continue this movement.

And at one of the most exciting time of the year for foodies….

Fall harvest!

Whether you’re a fellow Manitoban or a neighbour to our province, the abundance of locally grown food at this time of the year is remarkable.

Especially for a country that will be in a deep freeze in a few short months….(sorry, I said it).

So if this sounds enticing to you, keep reading for more info on how to participate!
